Internationally acclaimed pop artist Peter Max is one of two major figures in the art world (the other being Annette de la Renta) who were honored last week by The Black Alumni of Pratt (BAP). Max received the prestigious “Pinnacle Alumni in Art and Design Award” during a black tie dinner for his contributions to the art world as well as his philanthropic efforts across the globe. In keeping with his mission of giving back whenever possible, Max donated a portrait of Martin Luther King to be auctioned off during the BAP auction.
