Over 400 guests gathered at South Florida’s Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa on Thursday night, to lend their support to the Best Buddies exclusive charity event, “All In Good Taste”. Park West Gallery was a co-sponsor of the event, as an extension of our ongoing philanthropic efforts to support local charities and nonprofit organizations.

The “All In Good Taste” fundraiser was a huge success. Park West Gallery was able to raise $4,500 alone from the artwork we donated for the silent auction.

“A huge thank you goes out to Park West Gallery for contributing well over $10,000 worth of art to our silent auction," said Karen Reyes, Program Supervisor of Best Buddies Florida. “Each one of the paintings that was auctioned off contributes to our programs and solidifies our presence in Broward County. It is through these events that we bring awareness to our communities and enrich people’s lives by introducing them to our mission.”

Yaacov Agam “AT” | Park West Gallery Collection
By Morris Shapiro, Park West Gallery Director

“Genius” is a hard word to substantiate, as these days in our transient and disposable culture it is often thrown about in reference to all sorts of people from all walks of life. But too often, sadly, novelty is confused with quality.

In the case of 81-year-old artist Yaacov Agam, the word “genius” only touches the surface. The world is filled with his art. From giant installations found in places as far flung as Taipei, Jerusalem and New York City, to individual objects that grace the collections of his devotees from all over the world, Agam has made his mark, which will not be erased from history...

PARK WEST GALLERY recently made a significant donation of brand new clothing to Calvary Chapel in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as part of its ongoing Park West Gallery CARES philanthropic initiative.

In the U.S. alone, more than half of the states saw their unemployment rates rise in August; two of those states most significantly affected have been Michigan and Florida. Through our Park West Gallery CARES initiative, Park West Gallery is dedicated to improving the lives of those in need in Michigan, Florida and in many other communities both domestically and internationally.

“Park West Gallery answered Calvary Chapel’s ‘Don’t Just Stand There . . . DO Something’ initiative with their generous donation of brand new clothing and home goods for the homeless and needy of Broward County that take refuge in our Outreach Ministry program. We currently have three locations serving those less fortunate with food, clothing and shelter,” said Calvary Chapel’s Pastor Bob Coy.
